I have always believed that your identity can give you roots without putting a ceiling on your possibilities.
My name is Nuri Fhatima, a marketing and communications professional based in Abu Dhabi, with over six years of experience across strategic communications, luxury hospitality and education sector. I come from Nepal and from a small Muslim community that represents just over 5% of the country’s population. My roots have given me a deep appreciation for who I am, while teaching me that where you come from does not have to define the limits of where you can go.
At heart, I am a deep seeker of meaning in life, and I find purpose in uplifting others. Over the years, I have worked with children in orphanages and old-age homes, supported communities affected by earthquakes and floods, and contributed to humanitarian initiatives. These experiences have taught me that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can give another person is the belief that their life, their potential and their future matter.
One of my greatest dreams is to build a chain of Yateem Schools across the world, creating spaces where orphaned children are not defined by what they have lost, but empowered by what they can become.
My career and curiosity about psychology, emotional intelligence and human behaviour have taught me that true communication is about understanding, connecting and uplifting people.
That is why I see Miss Middle East not simply as a celebration of beauty, but as a platform to represent my roots, inspire women and create meaningful impact.
