I was born and brought up between two worlds — the energy of a metro city and the simplicity of a rural, natural environment. Growing up between these two worlds taught me to adapt, to understand different kinds of people, and, somehow, to find my own place in both.

I was blessed with parents who shaped me in their own beautiful ways. A father who always stood beside his daughters — encouraging me to make my own decisions, chase my goals, and believe that I was strong enough to face whatever life placed in my way. The goals may be worldly, but life teaches you that achieving them means little if you are not strong enough to walk through the challenges that come along with them.

And then there was my mother — my most precious gift from the Lord. She taught us humility. She kept us grounded, reminded us not to become cruel or arrogant, and protected our hearts from becoming bitter toward others. Her love was my quiet shield.

We often don't understand the true value of a mother while she is with us. It is only when she leaves that we realise how little we actually need from the world, and how much we simply need her.

It has been two and a half years since I lost my mother, and I am still somewhere in the process of breaking, collecting my pieces, healing, showing up, and learning to live again.

But through all of this, I have not been alone.
I am blessed — and more blessed than I can ever put into words — to have my siblings, my cousins, and my old friends. The people who have stood by my side through my ups and downs, becoming my backbone when I needed strength the most. May they live long, beautiful, and happy lives.

For all these blessings, I am grateful to my Lord beyond infinity.

And now, I am here — ready to explore.
To experience a memorable journey. To meet confident, beautiful souls. To listen to their stories, learn from their experiences, share a little of my own, and add new chapters to the story of my life.

Because life, despite everything, is worth living.
I may have known darkness, but I choose to carry a light within it.
A small light.
A persistent light.
A light that refuses to disappear.

Representing myself as Qandeel — a light within the darkness, still finding her way, still growing, still exploring, and still choosing life.
